Marcellin 2012 graduate Luke Davis wins Apprentice of the Year Award at Master Builders Association SA Building Excellence Awards.

This year’s Building Excellence Awards are testimony to the depth of professionalism through South Australia’s building and construction sector, Master Builders SA says.

The awards, celebrated tonight in front of nearly 1000 people at the Adelaide Convention Centre, represent the vitality and talent of one of the State’s core industries, Chief Executive Officer Ian Markos said.

“The building sector sits at the core of our community; it builds family homes, it builds the schools and hospitals those families need, and the offices and warehouses for the State’s businesses,” he said.

“Tonight’s awards show the incredible depth within the South Australian building sector. We are seeing big national companies succeed, but we are also seeing smaller home-growth enterprises be recognized not for being South Australian, but for being the best in the business.

“Growing South Australia’s economy will come down to one key factor: can we do something better than the rest of the country. Tonight’s awards show that yes, we can.”

All staff and community of Marcellin Technical College/MTC Training congratulates Luke on his wonderful achievement!
