ENROLMENTS

Enrol for 2017

Marcellin Technical College provides a unique model of senior secondary schooling, underpinned by a combination of completion of the SACE and completion of a Certificate II or III in a trade or VET course.

Coupled with the goal of entering into a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship, students are preparing themselves for the workplace with important qualifications and experience and a College which is prepared to continue that relationship well beyond the time when they graduate from Year 12.

Our commitment to provide training beyond school during the apprenticeship years sets Marcellin Technical College apart from any other school. Our in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO) MTC Training, is well known in industry sectors for producing outstanding apprentices who are work-ready and preferred by employers.

Each of the SACE subjects that students engage with at Marcellin are designed to promote employability skills and to gain workplace knowledge.

Students develop key skills in literacy and numeracy, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, communication, flexibility, accessing and synthesising information, self-management, the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work and technical knowledge related to their vocational field.

Students participate in vocational trade training and work placements that directly provide them with occupational skills. These VET qualifications provide an excellent basis from which to enter the workforce, but they also provide students with a base from which they can progress to higher-level qualifications once they begin their apprenticeship/traineeship.
